Work was work. Nothing exciting.

Came home and basically all I did was read fic. Because the series I'm reading was right in the middle of some hardcore action/plot sequences and ahhhhhhhhhh.

If anyone knows both WTNV and HDM and hasn't yet read He Says He Is An Experimental Theologian, I highly recommend it. Possibly the greatest fusion-style crossover I've ever read; I poked it because I love daemon-AUs even more than I love psychic wolf AUs, but it's really not a daemon AU. It will probably not make much sense if all you know is the idea of daemons. It's a true fusion crossover, and it's SO GREAT. :D :D :D :D :D

ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, I did my exam this afternoon! It went pretty well! :D I think I did okay~

Mama said she thinks I'm the "perfect type" to do this kind of exam; apparently most people wouldn't actually abide by the exam condition rules? And I mean yeah sure, there's no supervision, but it's a matter of integrity, right? Even though I hate this subject a LOT, I couldn't live with myself if I cheated! :(

After that, I basically just ate junk food as a mini solo party, and read more Toriko manga. |D It was pretty good. I am up to the parts where it becomes a harem manga, still so hilarious. (But then politics news, above, so. =/ Bluuuh.)

In conclusion, this awesome HAND-DRAWN ANIMATED HOMESTUCK VID was posted today, and it is fantastic. :D Wow, I cannot even imagine how much fucking work that would've been. Every frame drawn in photoshop, apparently! So amaze. Apparently YouTube's broken my easy download link thing, so Iono how to grab it to put it in my iTunes with my other favourite Homestuck vids. :( :( :(

Yeah. Did have work, which was a thing, at least. And hung out with Mama for a bit, while we were the only ones home, which was fun.

I had an idea for an amv/vid/whatever you call them, last night. If only I had the program(s?), high quality rips and skills to pull it off! *laughs* Song is Peter Gabriel's Sky Blue, if anyone's interested; Sora-centric MC heroes thing.

...yeah, I've been listening to Up a lot, it does this kind of thing to me. (Signal to Noise is still The Best TWEWY Song Ever; someone really needs to do a cover that actually fits into TWEWY's Shibuya, music-wise.)

• More Shanks/Mihawk fic. (I more or less leave the OP-fandom trawling to azremodehar, but we've only found two fics. Period. One of which thought Mihawk's surname was his given name. Yeaaaah.) Also art! But there's enough art that I can be content, and I crave words more than pictures.

• For Dreamwidth to have an active Kingdom Hearts community. Not that there's much I can do about that; I post all my art recs to kingdomhearts, but when I was the only one posting anything there at all for literally 5 months straight, and there were all of 34 posts last year (and 26 of them mine), well. It's picked up a little since the most recent LJ influx - there've been two posts by a) different people b) other than me this month! \o/ But there's not much I can really do, I don't feel? I organised the 3WFDW stuff the past two years, but. I dunno. (Also for all that I fret about it, I'm not actually a mod or anything! Of course the mod appears to be Sir Not Appearing In This Film, BUT STILL. If I'd wanted to be a mod I would've asked; I'm not really suited towards crowd-raising and promotion and shit. 3WFDW takes care of its own promotion, really, and the administrative minutiae I can do! Am happy to do! But yeah.) Anyway, pipe dream. I've never actually been part of a thriving comm; it wouldn't surprise me if I was incapable of. But it's a nice pipe dream.

If you've been reading long you'll know my happy pairing pings. |D) But I think that's pretty obvious, given my documented love of badfic HSAUs and also urban fantasy. So it doesn't really count as a secret or anything.

I've been feeling kind of bummed, 'cause kingdomhearts' three_weeks_for_dw fest isn't going anywhere NEAR as well as last year, but the last day or two I've been starting to think that well, I tried. ( my navel-gazing got really long )
        Basically, I think I should, as the phrase goes, man the fuck up and do some shit. It might not work, like this year's fest doesn't seem to be working, but even if it's kind of depressing it's better than not having tried, right? Right.
        And anyway given kingdomhearts' recent posts, I'm already That Obnoxious Fanwit That Never Shuts The Fuck Up, so I might as well own it.

So, what've I been up to lately?
Not much, honestly. It's The End Of Term, so, you know. Whole heap of shit to do - and by whole heap of shit I mean an essay, a take home exam and a real exam, but you know. Essay's due Thursday and I only decided what to do in class today, so. (This naturally meant I got back to dorm at about 3:30 and didn't do anything 'till almost eleven. My stress-management techniques: NOT SO GOOD.)

azremodehar has said that she likes the first of the hardmode fic-versions better, so I guess that's what I'll be doing. (She's my one reliable reader, beta, and also if I'm not talking to her one of us isn't online, so. I did ask if I could put shit up for The Wider FL to read and compare, but I haven't heard back!) So I have a little under 3K so far. That's something.

Speaking of challenges, no_true_pair's on again; signups are on 'till the 14th? 15th? Sommat. It's more like the original challenge, this time, so I put my list up. (All KH, all the time, this round, and I didn't even put in any dogs. .o/ Of course, this means no awesome crossovers, but hey. Only so much I can do at once. And no, I'm not doing a multi-list thing again, once was enough.) Anyway, it doesn't matter if you sign up and do nothing, so I heartily encourage all creative types to go play - you can do orig. stuff too, so. :3

Also I managed to fully-develop and convince Azy that a BBS Japanese-style HSAU would be MADE OF AWESOME in about half an hour tonight. In that space of time it went from a rather nebulous idea to having like. Setting and subplot and stuff. No one need wonder why I have so many AUs. ¬¬;;; (Also, I realise fandom is totally burned out on HSAUs - well, except me, but I also trawl for badfic on purpose, so - but I do believe it can be done well and IC, so. Please don't lose all respect for me or something. ^^;;; Or at least not for that.)

Unrelatedly, LJ is skeeving me out more and more and more, and I really want to not be there as much as possible. Not sure if I can give up the fanficrants habit so easily, and I'm not gonna stop reading the FL, but if you're crossposting to IJ or DW, let me know? Please?

I don't even know how, but I've written something like 2.5K today. Despite also going to class and doing my homework.
And most of it isn't even for the commentfic thing (which needs moar prompts, I kid you not - I've put in five so far, which is more than double anyone else, I think, and I've already got four of them filled, what), though I did do two drabbles and start a longer fic. But most of it's White Mage AU stuff; did near equal amounts on a fic I've been working on for a couple of weeks now and a new one. @___@ Granted, the new one pokes around the edges of the whys of Roxas' neurosis (he's a lot more messed up than he likes to let on. So's Axel. And Xion. This shouldn't actually surprise anyone), and it involves Xion, so it's definitely something I'm liking, but~~
Is nice, though, to have the words just flowing.

Still don't know what to do for hardmode yet, though. =/ I'm actually seriously thinking about putting my name down for the post-game Sora insanity thing, today. I don't know. It's not the writing 10K thing that has me worried, it's the finishing thing. Argh. My stories, they run away from me. ;;

Anyway, should do that sleep thing. Wish I could game a bit, but the fic ate all my time. XD;;;;;;;;;
